You will depart from Zanzibar via flight or ferry and arrive in Moshi, Tanzania. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for check-in. You should rest and acclimatize to the lower altitude while meeting your trekking team for a briefing covering the route, safety measures, gear preparation, and expectations for the Kilimanjaro trek. Dinner at the hotel provides an opportunity to relax, socialize with fellow climbers, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Moshi – Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
After breakfast at your Moshi hotel, you will be transferred to Lemosho Gate to start your climb. Meet your guides, porters, and support team before trekking through vibrant rainforest filled with exotic flora and fauna. Cover 6 km, enjoying fresh mountain air, forest streams, and unique flowers along the trail. Arrive at Shira II Camp, where you can rest, have dinner, and enjoy the calm high-altitude environment. Trek 7 km over 4–6 hours from Shira II toward Lava Tower, gaining altitude up to 13,800 ft and then descending to 13,000 ft for acclimatization. Begin the day with a climb up the famous Barranco Wall, then descend to Karanga Valley before ascending to Barafu Camp at 15,000 ft. Trek 9 km over 8–10 hours across alpine desert landscapes, enjoying scenic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. At Barafu Camp, set up tents, rest, and enjoy dinner while preparing for the midnight summit climb. This day tests endurance while offering some of the most spectacular vistas on Kilimanjaro.

Wake between midnight and 2 a.m. to begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, covering 5 km ascent and 12 km descent. Trek through the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers, reaching Stella Point before the final stretch to the summit at 19,345 ft. Celebrate your achievement and enjoy panoramic views at the Roof of Africa. Begin descending to Mweka Camp through loose scree and forest paths, stopping for lunch at Barafu along the way. Dinner at Mweka Camp marks the last night on the mountain.

After breakfast, trek downhill 10 km to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. The trail may be muddy in lower forest zones, so trekking poles are recommended. Transfer by vehicle to your hotel in Moshi, where you can shower, rest, and celebrate your successful climb. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your return journey.
