The migration safari begins early with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a 5.5-hour drive to the Ndutu region, covering 260 km. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), where the landscape changes from hilly forests to green grasslands. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you’ll enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch stop. Ndutu is part of the route for the annual migration of over 2 million wildebeests, along with zebras, antelope, and gazelles. Between December and April, you'll witness the plains transform into calving grounds, attracting predators. The game drive ends around 5 PM, and you'll head to your accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and rest.

Full Day Game Drive Safari in Ndutu Area
Stunned by the previous day's migration sighting, today you’ll get another chance to witness this beautiful wildlife spectacle. The Ndutu region, part of both Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), will be your destination for a full day game drive after breakfast. You’ll follow the migration’s location, either in NCA or Serengeti, and during the right season (December to April), you’ll witness the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nurseries for the migration. This season attracts predators hunting vulnerable wildebeest calves. Watching this circle of life unfold will be an unforgettable experience. The action-packed game drive ends by around 5 PM, and you’ll head to your accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and rest, recharging for another exciting day.

Ndutu Area to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Another day in the southern plains of Serengeti offers another chance to witness the incredible wildlife spectacle. The varied habitats, including swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the famous Serengeti grass plains, provide a unique backdrop. You’ll see great herds of wildebeest and zebras, with the river crossings marking a highlight of the wildebeest’s migration journey. This is an ideal time to see the herds congregate in the south for the calving season. Later, you’ll proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll catch a glimpse of the stunning scenery and abundant wildlife awaiting you the following day.

Ngorongoro Crater then back to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you’ll have an early start and a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. With a 5-hour game drive on the crater floor, you’ll witness plenty of animal action, including elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll begin your ascent out of the crater, followed by a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 PM, ending your safari with unforgettable memories before overnighting at your Hotel in Arusha.
