Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Moshi, then Materuni Village
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. After checking in and dropping off your luggage, you’ll take only the essentials for the Materuni Waterfall trip. The journey to the waterfalls will lead you through a lush rainforest region known for producing some of the best coffee in East Africa. Along the way, your guide will share insights about local plants and their uses in food and traditional medicine, as well as details about the Chagga culture.
The waterfalls are hidden in a pristine valley, with cliffs towering up to 200 feet overhead. The water cascades down in a beautiful curtain, landing in a small pool where you can relax, enjoy lunch, and take a swim in the refreshing mountain waters.
After your visit, you’ll drive back to your hotel, where you’ll spend the night on a bed and breakfast meal plan. You’ll also meet your safari guide, who will brief you on your upcoming adventure.

Leave Moshi early at 7:30am to make the most of your Kilimanjaro adventure, with a 2-hour drive to Londorossi Gate, the western entrance to the National Park. After completing registration, continue with a 30–45 minute drive to Murrum Barrier, the official starting point of your hike. From here, trek for 2–3 hours through scenic terrain to reach the Shira Plateau, covering about 4 kilometers while ascending from 3,400m to 3,700m. After enjoying the stunning views and picnic rest, hike back for 1–2 hours to Murrum Barrier, then return by vehicle to Londorossi Gate before transferring to Arusha for overnight.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You will depart from Arusha in the early hours of the day and drive to Tarangire National Park where colossal termite mounds and ancient baobab trees await us. This park is renowned for their immense elephant population, their picturesque scenery and diverse bird life. Tarangire National Park has an enticing wildlife that includes elephants, lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes and baboons. When our game drive comes to an end, we will proceed to Mto wa Mbu where you will get dinner and overnight.

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
A delicious breakfast showcasing local and organic products will be served at camp, followed by a breathtaking drive to the Serengeti National Park. We will take the scenic route to Serengeti National Park, allowing for an amazing, bird’s-eye-view of Ngorongoro Crater. There is a high likelihood of spotting game on the drive. The endless golden savanna, contrasted with the vibrant patterns of zebras, lions, and elephants make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural wonders of Africa. We will stop for a picnic lunch on the most famous kopje (a small hill in a generally flat area) in the park, allowing visitors to experience the vastness Serengeti National Park from atop the hill. We will proceed further into the Serengeti National Park for a leisurely game drive where you will likely view herds of giraffes, elephants, and zebra. You will spend the night at the camp in Serengeti National Park.
