Arusha - South Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area)
The migration safari starts early with a hotel pick-up in Moshi, followed by a 5.5-hour drive to the Ndutu region. After two hours, you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape shifts from forests to open grasslands. Upon arrival in Ndutu, a half-day game drive begins, with a picnic lunch break. This region, blending into the Serengeti, is a crucial part of the wildebeest migration, with over 2 million animals passing through, along with zebras and antelopes. During the calving season (December–April), predators are drawn to the vulnerable young. Ndutu’s waterholes, such as Lake Masek and Ndutu Lake, offer rich wildlife sightings even in the dry season. The game drive ends at 5 PM, followed by dinner at your accommodation, preparing you for another thrilling day.

After witnessing the migration yesterday, today offers another chance to experience this breathtaking wildlife spectacle in the Ndutu region, part of both the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Following a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day game drive, tracking the migration's location in either area. From December, January, February, March, to April, the plains transform into calving grounds, attracting predators hunting vulnerable young wildebeest. This circle of life creates an unforgettable experience. The game drive concludes in the evening, and you'll head to your chosen accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and restful night, ready for another exciting day ahead.

Ndutu Area to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Another day in the southern plains of Serengeti. Today you get another chance to view the beautiful wildlife spectacle. The range to the different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world-famous Serengeti grass plains. See great herds of wildebeest and zebras. Along with the river crossings, this is a real highlight of the wildebeest’s journey and a fabulous time to see the herds congregate on the dramatic sweeping plains of the south. You will see the big herds all together as they always come south for calving season. Later you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the edge of the crater of Ngorongoro you will have your first foretaste of what awaits you the following day- glistening streams, open grassland, and an infinite number of animals.

Ngorongoro Crater then back to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you will start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, spans 260 sq km and reaches a depth of over 2000 feet. A 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers ample wildlife sightings, including African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions, so keeping your camera ready is essential. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll begin the steep ascent to the crater’s top exit. The final leg of your safari includes a 4-hour drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 PM.
