MOSHI TO MARANGU GATE TO MANDARA HUT

<p>• Elevation Gain: 943m (3,000ft) • Distance: 7km • Hiking Time: 3-4 hours Wake up early to a freshly prepared breakfast, and enjoy the drive to Marangu Gate. Here, you’ll meet your expert trekking team—guides, porters, and cooks. Begin your trek through a lush rainforest, home to vibrant wildlife. Stop for a delicious picnic at Kisambioni, then continue to Mandara Hut. Relax in your comfortable, cozy hut, or take a short walk to the Maundi Crater for sweeping views of Taveta and Mawenzi Peak. Enjoy a peaceful rest, knowing that tomorrow’s adventure begins with an early wake-up</p>

MANDARA HUT TO HOROMBO HUT

<p>• Elevation Gain: 977m (3,200ft) • Distance: 11km • Hiking Time: 5-6 hours Start the day with an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast before leaving the rainforest behind for the open moorlands. Admire dramatic views of Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks while surrounded by giant lobelias. After a relaxing lunch at Kambi ya Taanu, continue to Horombo Hut, where you’ll settle into spacious, well-equipped huts. With another early start tomorrow, enjoy a restful night in preparation.</p>

ACCLIMATIZATION DAY – HOROMBO HUT TO MAWENZI HUT AND BACK

<p>• Elevation Gain &amp; Loss: 880m (2,900ft) • Distance: 8km • Hiking Time: 4-5 hours This is your acclimatization day. Start the morning with a warm breakfast, then take a scenic hike up to Mawenzi Hut for breathtaking views of Kibo Peak. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch before descending back to Horombo Hut for some well-deserved rest. This extra rest day helps your body adjust to the altitude in preparation for the summit climb.</p>

HOROMBO HUT TO KIBO HUT

<p>• Elevation Gain: 1,030m (3,380ft) • Distance: 10km • Hiking Time: 6-8 hours Today we begin our trek into the alpine desert. After an early breakfast, take in the spectacular views as we ascend. A lunch break near Middle Red Hill prepares you for the final leg to Kibo Hut, where you'll have a chance to rest before summit day. Be sure to get plenty of sleep tonight—tomorrow is the big day!</p>

SUMMIT DAY – KIBO HUT TO UHURU PEAK & BACK TO HOROMBO HUT

<p>• Elevation Gain: 1,145m (3,760ft) • Elevation Loss: 2,175m (7,140ft) • Distance: 18km • Hiking Time: 11-13 hours Rise early at midnight to a light breakfast before we begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak. As the night sky opens up above, we will push on to Gillman’s Point, then continue to the summit. Celebrate at Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa! After savoring this incredible achievement and taking some photos, we’ll descend back to Horombo Hut, where you’ll enjoy a restful night</p>

HOROMBO HUT TO MARANGU GATE & RETURN TO MOSHI

<p>• Elevation Loss: 1,920m (6,295ft) • Distance: 19km • Hiking Time: 5-6 hours After a well-earned rest, we begin the descent back to Marangu Gate. Celebrate your achievement with your summit certificate! Once at the gate, we’ll drive back to Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel in Moshi, where you can relax with a refreshing drink and reflect on your incredible journey.</p>
