ACCLIMATIZATION DAY – HOROMBO HUTS

• Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
This is your acclimatization day. Start the morning with a warm breakfast, then take a scenic hike up to Mawenzi Huts for breathtaking views of Kibo Peak. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch before descending back to Horombo Huts for some well-deserved rest. This extra rest day helps your body adjust to the altitude in preparation for the summit climb.

HOROMBO HUTS TO KIBO HUTS

Today we begin our trek into the alpine desert. After an early breakfast, take in the spectacular views as we ascend. A lunch break near Middle Red Hill prepares you for the final leg to Kibo Huts, where you'll have a chance to rest before summit day. Be sure to get plenty of sleep tonight—tomorrow is the big day!
SUMMIT DAY – KIBO HUTS TO UHURU PEAK & BACK TO HOROMBO HUTS

• Elevation Loss: 2,175m (7,140ft)
• Distance: 18km
• Hiking Time: 11-13 hours
Rise early at midnight to a light breakfast before we begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak. As the night sky opens up above, we will push on to Gillman’s Point, then continue to the summit. Celebrate at Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa! After savoring this incredible achievement and taking some photos, we’ll descend back to Horombo Huts, where you’ll enjoy a restful night
