Kilimanjaro Day Hike – Marangu Gate to Mandara Huts

Depart early from Moshi to Marangu Gate. After completing registration, begin the hike through the lush rainforest filled with exotic plants, mosses, and birdlife. Ascend gently toward Mandara Hut, encountering climbers descending from higher altitudes. Enjoy lunch at Mandara Hut, followed by an optional short walk to Maundi Crater for spectacular panoramic views of Taveta and Mawenzi Peak. Capture photos of the unique flora and fauna before descending back to Marangu Gate. From there, transfer to Arusha for overnight at your hotel, where your guide will brief you on the upcoming safari.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha early morning for Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and impressive termite mounds. Enjoy a full-day game drive spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, buffaloes, warthogs, and diverse bird species. In the late afternoon, drive to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive toward Serengeti National Park, passing the scenic rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Stop for a picnic lunch at Naabai Kopje, a rocky hill offering great wildlife viewing. Continue with a game drive through the Serengeti National Park plains to spot wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and predators like lions and cheetahs. Evening transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Start early for a morning game drive in the central Serengeti National Park, observing the savannah come alive with birds and wildlife. Track predator activity by studying footprints and fresh signs. After the game drive, travel to the Ngorongoro Crater then descend to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy dinner and overnight amidst stunning views.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha – Departure

Begin with an early breakfast, then descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive. Spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo—alongside zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and flamingos around Soda Lake. After a picnic lunch in the crater, drive back to Arusha, concluding your safari at the hotel or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for departure.
