Your migration safari will begin early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha, heading towards the Ndutu region, a 5.5-hour drive covering 260 km. Along the way, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape shifts from hilly forests to open grasslands. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will embark on a half-day game drive, stopping for a picnic lunch. This region is a key part of the Great Migration, where over two million wildebeests, along with zebras and antelopes, move across the plains. Between December and April, Ndutu transforms into calving grounds, attracting predators hunting vulnerable young wildebeests. The game drive will conclude around 5 PM, after which you will head to your accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and a restful night.

After witnessing the Great Migration, today offers another chance to experience this breathtaking wildlife spectacle. The Ndutu region, part of both Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, provides an excellent location for a full-day game drive after breakfast. Depending on the season (December to April), you will witness the plains transforming into calving grounds, attracting predators hunting vulnerable young wildebeests. Observing this circle of life unfold will be an unforgettable experience. The action-packed game drive will conclude by 5 PM, after which you will head to your accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Your journey into the world-famous Serengeti National Park will be filled with excitement as you travel through its vast, never-ending plains. The name Serengeti means "endless plains," and the breathtaking sight of grasslands merging with the sky is unforgettable. Covering 14,763 sq km, this park is home to the Big Five—elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard—alongside other remarkable wildlife like the elegant impala. You’ll also encounter the unique Serengeti Kopjes, massive granite boulders that serve as shelters for diverse flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed amid the adventure, and the day will conclude with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, by 9AM in the morning you will head out for a short game drive in the Serengeti after a good breakfast. After completing a half day game drive along with a picnic lunch, we will branch out and head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim. The 75-km drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim will take about 2.5 hrs, with mild game action to see on the way. The crater is one of Africa’s impressive geological attraction and supreme mecca of wilderness. The day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation. Get a good rest and refuel yourself, for the following day you will descend into the massive crater.

Ngorongoro Crater then back to Arusha

On the last day of your safari, you will start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. During a 5-hour game drive, you will witness incredible wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Keep your camera ready to capture the action. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you will ascend to the crater’s top and begin the final 4-hour drive to Arusha. You will arrive by 6 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure filled with lasting memories.
