You will be picked up from Arusha and taken to your mid-range hotel in Moshi town. Upon arrival, you'll meet your guide, who will give you an overview of the upcoming trek and perform an equipment check to confirm you have all the necessary mountain gear. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Umbwe Gate, situated at 1,800 meters (5,905 feet) above sea level. Your trek begins here, winding through lush forest along a narrow ridge. As you ascend steadily, the trail offers stunning views of the landscape until you arrive at Umbwe Camp (Bivouac I) at 2,850 meters (9,350 feet). Upon arrival, you’ll set up camp, savor a hearty dinner, and relax peacefully surrounded by the tranquil mountain atmosphere.

Today’s trek takes you from Umbwe Camp at 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) to Barranco Camp at 3,960 meters (12,995 feet). This challenging yet rewarding ascent includes the iconic Barranco Wall.
