Your migration safari will begin early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha, heading towards the Ndutu region, a 5.5-hour drive covering 260 km. As you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), the landscape will shift from hilly forests to vast grasslands. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will embark on a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch stop. This region is a key part of the Great Migration, where over two million wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes migrate annually. During the right season (December–April), you will witness calving grounds, attracting predators. The game drive will conclude around 5 PM, followed by a transfer to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Today, you will have another chance to witness the great migration in the stunning Ndutu region, which lies within both the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive, following the migration depending on its location. Between December and April, the fertile plains become calving grounds, attracting predators hunting young wildebeests. Watching this dramatic circle of life unfold will be an unforgettable experience. The action-packed drive will end around 5 PM, after which you will head to your accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Another day in the southern plains of Serengeti offers another chance to witness its stunning wildlife. You’ll explore diverse habitats, including swamps, woodlands, soda lakes, and the famous Serengeti grasslands. Watch massive herds of wildebeest and zebras congregate on the sweeping plains, especially during calving season. The dramatic river crossings are a highlight of their journey. Later, you’ll proceed to Ngorongoro Conservancy, where you’ll arrive at the crater’s edge, getting a first glimpse of the breathtaking landscapes, glistening streams, and countless animals awaiting your exploration the next day.

Ngorongoro Crater then back to Arusha

On the last day of your safari, you will start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers incredible wildlife sightings, including elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Be ready with your camera to capture the action. After a scenic picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, you will ascend the crater and begin the final stretch of your journey. A 4-hour drive will take you back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 PM, ending your safari with unforgettable memories.
