Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing with Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Trek through dense rainforest, bamboo thickets, and steep trails in search of a gorilla family. The trek may last 2–8 hours depending on their movements, but the reward is immense. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants — watching the silverback, playful juveniles, and nurturing mothers. Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, holds nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population and is also home to diverse birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
