Golden Monkey Trekking - Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Transfer to Bwindi

The monkeys are primarily to be found in the bamboo forest that skirt the lower slopes of the volcanoes. The monkeys are very active in the canopy of the bamboo where your guides mimic their calls to follow the group. With only a small number remaining in the world, the Golden Monkey can be found in the foothills of the volcanic mountains of Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Characterized by its bright golden body, cheeks and tail, with contrasting black limbs, crown and tail end, these playful primates are a pleasure to watch.

Gorilla Trekking Tour in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, is one of East Africa’s most diverse forests. It is home to nearly half of the world’s endangered Mountain Gorillas, where you trek through dense vegetation of herbs, vines, and shrubs to encounter a gorilla family and spend an hour observing them up close. The park also shelters 120 mammals, 345 bird species, 200 butterflies, 160 tree species, and endangered birds, while serving as a vital water catchment for local agriculture.

Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Kigali

After breakfast at your lodge, you will be picked up at the agreed time and driven directly to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the serene environment along with the hotel’s amenities. Dinner will be at your own arrangement, and you will spend the night at Heaven Boutique Hotel or a similar option, on a bed-and-breakfast meal plan.
