An early wake-up and breakfast start your day before we drive to Marangu Gate. After registration, the trek through lush rainforest begins. ACCLIMATIZATION DAY – HOROMBO HUTS

We start early for a relaxed hike to Mawenzi Huts for acclimatization for a stunning view of Kibo Peak. Enjoy a picnic lunch and then descend back to Horombo Huts for the night, allowing your body time to acclimatize.

After breakfast, we begin the trek into the alpine desert zone. The terrain becomes rocky, and the vegetation sparse. After a lunch break near Middle Red Hill, we’ll continue across the Kilimanjaro Saddle to reach Kibo Huts, where you'll rest before summit night.
SUMMIT DAY – KIBO HUTS TO UHURU PEAK (5,895m) & DESCEND TO HOROMBO HUTS

• Elevation Loss: 2,175m (7,140ft)
• Distance: 18km
• Hiking Time: 11-13 hours
An early breakfast kicks off summit day! Starting at midnight, we begin the climb to Uhuru Peak under a star-filled sky. We reach Gillman’s Point (5,681m) after about five hours, then continue to Uhuru Peak. After capturing sunrise photos, we descend to Kibo Huts, then continue to Horombo Huts for a well-earned rest.
