The first challenge is a steep 1-hour climb to Rhino Point (3,800m / 12,467ft), followed by a rugged trail leading to Cobra Point (4,350m / 14,272ft). As the sun starts to rise, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro floating on a sea of clouds, the dramatic crater cliffs, and the towering Ash Cone. A final push takes you to the summit of Socialist Peak (4,566m / 14,980ft)—the highest point on Mount Meru. Standing here, with the vast Tanzanian wilderness stretching below, is an unforgettable moment. After soaking in the views, you’ll retrace your steps back down to Saddle Huts for a well-deserved brunch and rest. The descent continues to Miriakamba Huts, where a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Moshi, marking the end of your incredible Mount Meru trek.
