Today marks our final game drive in the Serengeti before we journey onward to the Ngorongoro Crater. We will spend the night at the crater, an ideal spot to witness the breathtaking sunset stretching across the vast savannah within the caldera. Afterward, guests can savor a delicious dinner freshly prepared by Africa Natural Tours’ warm and welcoming cook.

Ngorongoro Crater to Mto wa Mbu

We will set out early in the morning for the Ngorongoro Crater, as dawn offers the best chance to spot wildlife, particularly members of the famous “Big Five.” This remarkable group includes Africa’s most powerful animals—the mighty elephant, stealthy leopard, fierce lion, charging rhino, and resilient buffalo. The morning will be spent on a relaxed game drive, followed by a picnic lunch beside a hippo-filled pond, where we can enjoy our snacks while watching these massive creatures splash and play.

Ngorongoro Crater is a natural wonder, formed millions of years ago when a towering volcano erupted and collapsed, creating an intact caldera unlike any other in the world.
